This 19 1/2" silver wire-wrapped pendant necklace and earring set is made of new jade (serpentine) gemstones, yellow turquoise, tian shan lan stone, russian serpentine, accented with Czech glass beads, silver and finished with a lobster claw clasp. Part of our insect series, the one-of-a-kind picture jasper pendant is hand-carved and polished, and the hornet design incorporates the beads used in the necklace and earrings (hornet approx. 1 3/4" x 2"). This type of jasper is named picture jasper because of the seeming landscapes seen in the stones designs. Jasper is believed to be very stabilizing, helping in reduce insecurity, fear and guilt. The beautiful greens of serpentine are believed to be great for meditation. Also known as New Jade, the stone is believed to help clear your mind and stimulate the crown chakra.
